Wine glasses and grippy socks at the ready?!?
PAIRING 1: Livestream Barre FLOW gives you a balanced and dynamic workout with increased total-body awareness.
Wine Pairing: Puygeuraud Francs Cote De Bdx 2018
This classic Right Bank blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec is from the famed Thiepont family and same owner as Vieux Château Certan and Le Pin. Coming off a hot vintage in 2018 from clay-limestone terroirs, the dusty warm nose, concentrated cherry, blackberry aromas with herbaceous, mineral, earthy tones, leather forest floor and subtle oak is a treat for Bordeaux lovers. Still youthful with high, grippy tannins, decant a minimum of 60 minutes before your workout and will be ready for drinking once you’re ready to eat!
Additional Pairing Notes:
This is a big, full-bodied wine that balances a hearty meal – grilled meats such as Argentine asado with chimichurri sauce, Korean BBQ with bulgogi or beef short ribs, traditional French winter cassoulet, braised pulled pork tenderloin, beef bourguignon or bouillabaisse with seafood, sausage and saffron.
PAIRING 2: Livestream Barre HiiT is intense and exhilarating, also helps you breakthrough fitness plateaus.
Wine Pairing: F Cornelissen Susucaru Rosatu 2019
This sunshine in a bottle takes us on a balmy Mediterranean summer holiday. Field blend of native Sicilian grapes including Moscadella, Nerello Mascalese, Catarratto, Malvasia from the northern slopes of Etna. Made with no added sulfites or yeasts, unfiltered and fermented with 10 days of skin contact, it’s less than a rosé and more of a light red. Medium-bodied with bright cherry, strawberry, fresh herbal aromas, high acidity, mineral textured roundness and effervescent finish.
Additional Pairing Notes:
Serve slightly chilled, perfect after an intense cardio barre workout! Try with fresh fig salad with mascarpone and aged balsamic, grilled langoustine spaghetti with pesto and cherry tomato, spicy mussels with chorizo or Asian cuisine such as spring rolls, duck lettuce wraps or chicken satay
PAIRING 3: Livestream REST & RESTORE is calming, gentle and harmonius.
Wine Pairing: Cullen Dancing in the Sun 2018
This medium-bodied blend of Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and bit of Verdelho from leading biodynamic and organic producer Cullen Winery is a guaranteed hit for our New World lovers and a fabulous food pairing wine for all. With a low ABV at 12.9%, it still packs a punch with tropical, melon, lemon curd, grassy aromas and musk from the Semillion with a round richness on the palate, stone fruit minerality, balanced acidity and a satisfying long, creamy finish – perfect after a calming class and recharged body and mind.
Additional Pairing Notes:
Savour this dry white pairing with richer food including seafood, turkey, chicken, pork, rich soups and roasted veggies. Complements fresh creamy goat cheese, young Gruyère or Chaumes. Experiment with different cuisines such as winter crab and citrus salad, lobster mac and cheese, creamy white bean soup with sage, chicken and spinach gnocchi, lemongrass pork grilled skewers or tandoori chicken.
We hope you enjoyed our different view of bringing fitness and fun together with wonderful company and a bit of learning over a good glass of wine. Cheers and hope to see you at the barre soon!
